High Tech security in Athlete's village in Madagascar - Boxing Francophone Games

At every major games that we went to, the athlete's village were always heavily guarded. High tech security check ins and state of the art security. For example, in Barcelona for the Olympics in 1992, there were snipers hiding on the rooftops of our complexes and choppers flying over top. To enter into any venue you needed accredidation that was link to each person via a hand scan.

The Francophone Games in Madagascar were no exception. ( Well to a point )

The stone fence surrounding the Athletes village was topped off with broken glass from old pop bottles and stuff cemented in the top so any intruders couldn't get over, and if the intruders were sly and agile enough to make your way over these obstacles, these two burly security guards armed with clubs ( see picture below), would finish you off. (please note that I am 106 lbs in this picture standing next to them)
